Description

Tetra Tech has an opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join the London cost management team to produce high-standard cost and procurement management processes and services.

 

The team operates in a variety of different sectors giving you varied experience and challenges. The areas the London team focusses on is in the private and public Residential, Infrastructure, Flood Alleviation, Defence and Security projects, including delivering projects in the UK and overseas for Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) and Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO). The London Team are also providing Cost Management Framework services to the Environment Agency (EA) and Parliamentary Estates for secured long term strategic management of major reactive and planned Capital Works programmes.

 

You will have the opportunity to become a key member within our Southern region cost management team, working closely with multi-disciplinary teams across various offices, forging strong working relationships internally and externally becoming a trusted advisor to our clients.

About You:

·         Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar qualification

·         Have or are working towards full membership of the RICS

·         Pre and post contract cost management experience, including setting budgets, managing change, assessing risk and opportunity and procurement.

·         Experience of working as a Employers Agent, Project Monitoring Role would be beneficial.

·         Experience of working with NEC, JCT and bespoke forms of D&B Contracts.

·         Infrastructure and residential sector experience is preferable, but not essential as we are looking for experience across all sectors

·         Dependable and reliable

·         Professional and service focused on client satisfaction

·         Promotes confidence with clients and colleagues

·         Motivates junior members of the Tetra Tech family

·         Sound IT skills, especially Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint

·         Self-motivation to work collaboratively with virtual project teams

·         Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills

·         Excellent problem solver and negotiation skills
