Project Summary:

MSI is implementing the Philippines, Pacific Islands and Mongolia Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Activity (PIMMELA) in the Philippines and across its geographic area of coverage, which includes 12 Pacific Island countries and Mongolia. PIMMELA will provide monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) support services to USAID Mission in the Philippines and across its geographic area of coverage. PIMMELA will work collaboratively with the Mission's staff and its implementing partners (IPs) to provide assistance in performance management; third party monitoring and verification; evaluation services; collaboration, learning and adapting; and monitoring and evaluation of the health portfolio.

Position Summary:

The Qualitative Data Analyst Consultant will be responsible in qualitative data consolidation, processing, quality control and analysis to assist the team in deriving appropriate findings conclusions and recommendations, ensure data accuracy, integrity, and the generation of valuable insights.  This position will report to the Outcome Mapping/Harvesting (OM/OH) Expert.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the aggregation and organization of qualitative data from various sources, ensuring completeness and consistency. 
  • Implement and oversee quality control procedures to maintain high standards of data accuracy and reliability. 
  • Analyze qualitative data to identify patterns, themes, and insights that support OM/OH objectives. 
  • Translate data analysis into clear, actionable findings, conclusions, and recommendations to guide project strategies. 
  • Work closely with the OM/OH team to integrate data insights into the overall research framework and ensure alignment with project goals. 
  • Prepare detailed and visualized reports and presentations that effectively communicate insights and support decision-making. 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in data science, statistics, social sciences, or a related field required. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum two years of experience in data analysis, preferably in the context of monitoring and evaluation or research required.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams and managing multiple tasks required.
  • Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., NVivo, QDA, R, SPSS, Stata) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) required, preferably with licensed software.
  • Strong understanding of OM/OH methodologies required.
  • Ability to communicate complex data findings clearly and effectively required.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
  • Professional written and oral communication skills in English required.
