Join our water infrastructure team where Tetra Tech has been ranked as #1 in Water by Engineering News-Record for 20 years consecutively. Our Texas Water Group is looking for a Project Manager to join our growing team in Houston. Successful candidates will be responsible for providing technical, management, and staff assistance for a variety of infrastructure-related projects, primarily involving the planning and design of water/wastewater/stormwater pipelines, treatment facilities, pump stations, and storage facilities. Candidates should be skilled in managing multiple priorities, organizing time and projects, tracking budgets, and meeting deadlines. 

 

Your Role: 

  • Assist with the execution of projects from conceptual planning phases through final plans, specifications, and estimates, bid packages, and construction support services. 
  • Write technical specifications and technical reports for infrastructure-related projects for water, wastewater, and/or stormwater pipelines and facilities. 
  • Maintain existing client relationships and help develop new project opportunities. 
  • Ensure technical accuracy, standard engineering practices, and inclusion of appropriate documentation on various reports and design projects. 
  • Identify alternatives, resolve technical issues, and interface with other disciplines. 
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute work in a safe, timely, cost effective and compliant manner. 
  • Achieve financial targets in relation to project profitability and utilization. 
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior engineers. 

 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering. 
  • 5+ years of experience in civil or environmental field. 
  • Professional Engineer (PE) in Civil or Environmental Engineering, registered in Texas, required, or able to obtain licensure in Texas within 6 months. 
  • Valid Driver's License with and acceptable driving record. 
  • Background will ideally include related project work in water infrastructure. 
  • This position could require periodic travel, approximately 15% or more
