Your Role:

Tetra Tech Inc. Disaster Recovery (TDR) is currently seeking a Project Manager for a disaster recovery and mitigation program in Puerto Rico. The successful candidate will have experience managing disaster management related programs, such as, but not limited to, FEMA PA, IA, CDBG-DR or CDBG-MIT. They will be responsible for functions assigned to them under the supervision of the Program Manager and senior management team.

 

This is a Section 3 eligible job opportunity. We encourage applications from individuals who are low income and/or living in Public Housing. Individual - CDBG (pr.gov).

 

·       Manage a team of grant implementation staff.

·       Ensure CDBG-DR Program Guidelines are being followed.

·       Prepare monthly reports based Program's progress of key activities.

·       Attend weekly meetings with client to provide program status.

·       Develop SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and train grant management team to perform job duties.

·       Develop, implement, and maintain an effective scheduling management system.

·       Keep stakeholders informed of project timelines and deadlines.

·       Responsible for the daily field operations and ensuring that they are performed efficiently.

·       Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.

·       Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.

·       Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.

·       Additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

·       Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Planning or related fields.

·       Must have five (5) years of experience in project management and/or construction planning, design, and management.

·       Experience in data gathering, management and analysis.

·       Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing in English and Spanish.

·       Experience leading, managing and supporting self-organizing teams.

·       Must work locally from Puerto Rico.

·       Professional certification in project management, and/or building design (CCM, PMP, LEED, etc.) preferred.

·       Experience in federally funded infrastructure projects preferred.

·       Extraordinary attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and customer focus.

·       Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously; set priorities and plan work to meet deadlines.

·       Ability to identify problems and develop solutions, working well in a team environment.

·       Ability to work attentively with minimal supervision and set priorities.

·       Workdays in excess of 8 hours and/or weekend attendance may be required.

·       Intuition and forward-thinking is a plus while working to accomplish goals.

·       Must be motivated and results-oriented.

·       Professional self-presentation and communication.

·       Willingness and ability to travel as needed, approximately 20%.
