Tetra Tech is looking for a Geologist with Mid to Senior level experience to provide project management and technical support for environmental site assessment and remediation projects, related to federal, state, municipal, and commercial clients. Your Role :

 •    Responsible for reviewing, understanding, and implementing site-specific work plans and scopes of work. 
•    Responsible for, management and execution of field investigations (including soil, water, and air sampling; drilling, well installation, subcontractor supervision, and coordination with analytical laboratories), construction and/or remedial action oversight, personnel field management.  
•    Develop and manage complex site investigation programs including preparing work plans, obtaining permits, coordinating subcontractors and vendors, regulatory agency interactions, and reporting.
•    Interpret geological, hydrogeological, and environmental chemical data.. 
•    Utilize knowledge of databases, spreadsheets, geographic information systems, and hydrogeologic software applications, such as Aqtesolv®, and Earth Volumetric Studio, in the preparation of technical deliverables including reports, letters, proposals, cost estimates, tables, and figures.  
•    Will be a seller/doer and continuously seek to grow business and execute and manage environmental projects for key clients and generate work for themselves and others. 
•    Follow company safety standards, participate in safety training, and prepare as well as implement site-specific health and safety plans.
•    Participate in industry organizations and develop relationships with potential clients.

Qualifications:

•    BS degree in Geology or a related discipline is required.
•    Master's degrees are preferred.
•    7-15 years of professional environmental consulting experience is required, with history of increasing responsibility. Project experience to include: carrying out Phase I ESAs (ASTM-compliant), Phase II Site Investigations, UST compliance monitoring, UST closures, and vapor intrusion assessments. 

•    Registered, or eligible for registration, as a Geologist in Illinois and Missouri
•    OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER Training is required.
•    OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Training and 8-hour OSHA Supervisors of Hazardous Waste Operations Training are preferred.
•    Must live in or be willing to relocated to the St. Louis metropolitan area. Relocation assistance however is not available for this position.
•    Previous field experience required, including supervision of sampling activities and environmental drilling operations, ability to work independently on field projects.
•    GIS experience is a plus.
•    Working knowledge of the conceptual site model process is preferred. Experience including CERCLA RI/FS and PA/SI is preferred.
•    Project management training or experience is preferred.
•    Experience with DOD, federal, state, municipal, and private sector projects is preferred.
