Tetra Tech seeks a self-motivated professional with a desire to grow and develop their role to improve our capacity to serve clients and the natural world. The Scientist would work with a small team of biologists, environmental planners, and engineers to design and execute environmental assessments, coastal and water resources infrastructure permitting, biological studies, and other natural resources investigations. Creative problem solvers interested in bringing innovative technology to the forefront of environmental consulting are encouraged to apply.
Candidates should have broad interests and background to address projects that may include:
- NEPA/SEPA/CEQA documentation processes, preparation, and analysis;
- Stream and wetlands restoration;
- ESA compliance analysis and Biological Assessment preparation;
- Preparing and overseeing development of environmental permits, including CWA Sections 404/401;
- Project and task management;
- Assisting in business development for biological/environmental work.

Qualifications:
- BS in Biology/Geography/Environmental Sciences/Water Resources Sciences and at least 5 years of professional experience, or MS in Biology/Geography/Environmental Sciences/Water Resources Sciences and at least 3 years of professional experience in environmental science and project management including surveying, monitoring and permitting; water quality, delineation of wetlands, and restoration.
- Ability to research and prepare reports on environmental disciplines, regulations, and policies (NEPA/SEPA/CEQA and ESA documentation).
- Experience with federal, state, and local environmental permitting regulations and processes.
- Ability to communicate professionally and work collaboratively with regulatory agency staff, co-workers, management, clients and the public.
- Strong personal organization skills, including the ability to deliver work products of multiple projects on time.
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Valid driver's license.
