Project Summary:

The Jordan Public Accountability and Justice Strengthening Activity (PAJ) is designed to strengthen accountability systems, procedures, and mechanisms within the Government of Jordan and judicial institutions and enhance their ability to serve and communicate effectively with the public. It also fosters awareness and pressure by civil society organizations, the public, and the private sector on the government's adherence to the law and its international commitments to govern in an accountable manner that safeguards the rights of vulnerable populations. Position Summary:

The Leadership Trainers will assist the PAJ by helping to develop and deliver leadership and management trainings at the Institute of Public Administration (IPA) to Justice Sector staff to prepare them to take on senior positions within the courts and other judiciary institutions. The training programs will focus on the following key technical areas: leadership, strategic planning and future foresight, innovative and impactful leadership, public service ethics and governance, and working with vulnerable populations. The Trainers will also be familiar with cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, process engineering and digital transformation. PAJ anticipates the need for up to six trainers to cover the specified technical areas. The selected candidate will be experienced in one or more of the specified technical areas. All applicants must include a cover letter indicating their specific technical area(s) expertise in their application. The position is expected to have a maximum level of effort of 40 days for all trainers combined and take place between March and June 2025.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate and coordinate with relevant representatives from the PAJ team, Justice Sector, and IPA to develop high-quality training materials based on best practices and common understanding of training goals and methodology, utilizing existing materials where applicable.
  • Prepare and submit a general framework for the training program including a training agenda with detailed topics, goals, and objectives of the training, intended acquired skills and knowledge, and general session plan with allocated time for each activity.
  • Design and execute a comprehensive training program or workshop for selected participants that covers all required technical areas, including all relevant PowerPoints, working group materials, case studies, practical exercises, handouts, etc.
  • Develop and conduct pre- and post-evaluations to measure increased knowledge and skills gained from the training programs, providing PAJ with the results of the assessments.
  • Draft and submit a final report on the status of each training workshop, including a summary of the training activities conducted, key observations, lessons learned, and future recommendations.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering management, law, business, or public administration, etc., required. Master's degree preferred.
  • Professional Certification as a trainer preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a consultant and trainer in the specified technical areas with Government of Jordan and/or international donor agencies required.
  • Experience in delivering more than of 120 training hours required.
  • Strong knowledge or specialization in one or more of the technical training area topics.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with all related stakeholders.
  • Strong training delivering skills by using modern and various training methods.
  • Proficiency in English and Arabic is required.
