- Plan and conduct waste audits and waste composition studies to inform community diversion programs and reporting.
- Conduct interviews and research in support of waste planning and diversion projects.
- Work under the direction of engineers and operational experts to evaluate conditions for the design of landfills, transfer stations and compost facilities.

- Support the team in preparing technical proposals including scopes of work, budget estimates and formal RFP submissions.
- Contribute to ongoing project management best practice implementation.
- Work not just in the solid waste realm, but gain a working understanding of other areas to function effectively with other internal practices including environmental, geotechnical and infrastructure.
- Compile and analyze field data and prepare detailed engineering and regulatory reports and recommendations.
- Communicate with clients, sub-consultants, and internal stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships with solid waste team members, technical specialists from other disciplines, contractors, and clients.
- Actively contribute to improving our projects and team by giving input and feedback to hazard assessments and safety procedures, completing peer reviews, contributing your knowledge and ideas to solve problems, and taking on new challenges as they arise.
