We are currently seeking an Interior Designer to work out of our Ithaca NY office. Must have considerable understanding of all disciplines involved in the design of a building including building materials and systems.
Your Role:
- Prepare program, functional analysis, and space planning as directed by project architect or department manager;
- Prepare special graphics and technical specifications;
- Prepare and present specific plans, budgets, and estimates;
- Preparation, public presentation, and client assistance of color/finish material boards;
- Review submittals, shop drawings, and field construction installations;
- Meet with vendors and area representatives to keep abreast of new and better products;
- Assemble and maintain a library of resources for general office and Interior Design use.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with 6+ years related work experience, specifically within the K12/Federal sector;
- Knowledge of interior building codes, ADA, finishes, fixtures, furnishings, and equipment;
- Must be proficient in AutoCAD, MicroStation, Word and Excel, BIM software, such as Revit and/or Bentley
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Anticipated Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000. Please note that this range reflects the pay scale that Tetra Tech INE reasonably expects to pay for the role. The pay scale will also depend on various factors, such as job duties and requirements, and relevant experience and skills.
