Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic GEDSI Coordinator to join our team. The GEDSI Coordinator will be responsible for implementing the AAPNG GEDSI Strategy, engaging in research and analysis, supporting program components to mainstream GEDSI, and designing and implementing specific activities and initiatives targeting exclusion. This role involves ensuring strong commitment to and compliance with Safeguards policies and procedures across all program activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyse progress against GEDSI baseline across all stages of the scholarship cycle.
- Design and implement activities to strengthen staff capacity to understand and address GEDSI.
- Support managers and teams to mainstream GEDSI into activity delivery.
- Strengthen partner safeguarding compliance capabilities.
- Ensure the program adopts an intersectional approach to data collection, collation, analysis, and reporting.
- Support an inclusive approach to communications that attracts diverse applicants.
- Ensure program compliance with Tetra Tech and DFAT policies around GEDSI and Safeguarding.
- Conduct risk assessments for activities involving contact with children.
- Coordinate and support family and sexual violence support activities for staff.
- Contribute to Knowledge Hub activities and professional development initiatives.
Selection Criteria:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in gender or disability studies.
- At least three years' experience in a GEDSI role.
- Experience in conducting GEDSI analysis and coordinating GEDSI mainstreaming activities.
- Strong stakeholder relationship management skills.
- Understanding of and experience working with Government of PNG departments or agencies.
- Ability to develop and deliver GEDSI training.
- Experience in supporting inclusion for people with disabilities and those from rural and remote areas of PNG.
- Previous experience with a managing contractor or donor is highly regarded.
- Experience in report writing and using Microsoft Office 365 applications.
