Your Role:

 Tetra Tech, Inc. is currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Accounting Operations team as a full-time Financial Manager in our Chicago, IL office, providing support on various federal contracts, including CPFF, T&M, FFP and hybrid.  Job responsibilities in this position include:

  • Contract reviews, contract analysis, cost estimate preparation.
  • Work with government counterparts on contractual issues. 
  • Work with program managers to provide profit/unbilled analysis, project setups, contract and FAR research and guidance and other analysis to support the contracts.
  • Work with billers and programmers to develop contractually required financial reports and in some cases, produce monthly required contract reports that can't be system generated. 
  • Develop highly complex invoices and assist with Accounts Receivables.
  • Produce SCA-required information for yearly reporting requirements.
  • Interact with subcontractors to provide guidance/templates for compliant bills and review of subcontractor invoices for compliant billing. 
  • Prepare or assist with the preparation of review cost proposals in compliance with solicitation instructions or contract related order bids.
  • Prepare or assist with the preparation of project evaluation and estimate at completion on a quarterly basis.

Qualifications:

Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience working in the financial area of government contracts.  The ideal candidate must also have/be:

  • Experience working on complex government contracts with agencies such as EPA, FEMA, DOD, and GSA Supply Schedules. 
  • Working knowledge of FAR, CAS, DFAR, EPAAR, and FTR. 
  • Understanding of CPFF, T&M, FP and other contracts billing requirements and able to function independently.
  • Strong Excel, Word and Adobe skills. 
  • Oracle systems background preferred.

Degree / Certifications:

  • Business, Accounting, or Finance degree preferred but not required.  In lieu of a degree, 5 years of experience in accounting or finance is required.
  • Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM) preferred.
