About Tetra Tech
Tetra Tech is a global leader in consulting and engineering services, focused on water, environment, sustainable infrastructure, renewable energy and international development. As a Financial Accountant in our Sydney based team, you'll contribute to ensuring the accuracy of financial data and reporting and supporting our operational efficiency in the Asia Pacific region.
About the Role
In this role, you'll join a high performing team and will deliver timely and accurate services including:
- Preparing monthly profit and loss and balance sheet reporting for multiple entities in line with divisional and group finance timetables
- Assisting with month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial reporting for trading and dormant entities
- Reconciliation of multiple balance sheet accounts, general ledger journals, accruals, fixed asset accounting and prepayments
- Assisting with the preparation of Fringe Benefits Tax Return, Goods and Services Tax and Income Tax returns
- Providing financial data to assist with analytical review of business operations
- Conducting proactive variance analysis and assisting management in the review of operating expenses and efficiency
- Liaising with auditors for Australia, New Zealand and US year end audits
- Training and development of Assistant and Graduate Accountants
- Ad-hoc reporting requirements as required by Commercial Management
About You
To thrive in the role, you'll need:
- Bachelor of Commerce/Accounting or related tertiary discipline
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar accounting role
- Strong customer service ethic with an ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders
- Exceptional attention to detail, effectively multitask and prioritise
- Oracle or large ERP experience and proficiency in Microsoft Excel highly regarded
- CA/CPA qualifications will be highly regarded
