Australia Awards Cambodia (AAC)

Australia Awards Cambodia (AAC) is a multi-year program (June 2018-May 2026) managed by Tetra Tech International Development on behalf of the Australian Government, represented by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT).

AAC provides access to prestigious long and short-term study and training opportunities consistent with the Australia Awards Global Strategic Framework (2021-2024). AAC also delivers a range of activities that support achievement of the investment's objectives, including:

  • English language and pre-departure training
  • Equity Pathway Program and activities to support equity of access for women, people with disability and people from provincial locations, and members of Indigenous, ethnic minority, and LGBTQIA+ groups
  • On-award enrichment activities
  • Alumni engagement

Key responsibilities

  • The Finance and Administration Manager (FAM) is responsible for the efficient and effective management of financial and administration systems for AAC.
  • Finance responsibilities include consolidated planning budgeting and forecasting, risk monitoring, quality assurance, analysis and reporting.
  • Administrative responsibilities include day-to-day program administration, simple procurement and contracting, and basic office, logistics, and asset management.
  • Develop/maintain and manage accurate and timely finance and administration systems.
  • Manage the finance and administration sections of the Program Operations Manual and identify and make improvements wherever possible.
  • Manage the office, program, and corporate administration. This includes ensuring compliance with Cambodian and Australian Government and corporate laws, policies, and procedures (i.e., tax and labour laws).

Selection criteria

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (Accounting, Business Administration, Financial Management).
  • Demonstrated experience in the management of financial systems. Experience managing Australian Government-funded project finance systems is desirable.
  • Experience managing finance and administration in compliance with Cambodian tax, labour, and other relevant laws.
  • Experience with procurement and contract management.
  • High level experience with financial reporting.
