Project Summary:
MSI is awarded the USAID/Sri Lanka Transparent and Accountable Governance (TAG) activity. Working in close coordination with USAID/Sri Lanka, the activity is designed to strengthen Sri Lanka's democratic and economic governance reform efforts by bolstering good governance, transparency, accountability, and anti-corruption.

Position Summary:
The Finance and Admin Coordinator will assist the Finance Manager as well as the Grants and Contracts Manager. The Finance and Admin Coordinator will be based in Colombo with frequent travel to partner organizations within the Sri Lanka.
Responsibilities:
- Support in the preparation of financial statements and projections, for submission to MSI Headquarters.
- Review and process all relevant payments such as travel advances, utilities, and handle petty cash.
- Ensure that office procurements and payments follow MSI and USAID procedural guidelines.
- Support staff and grantees to understand and comply with USAID and MSI financial regulations and procedures in collaboration with the Finance Manager and Grants and Contracts Manager.
- Review budgets for field activities to ensure cost containment policies are applied and costs are in line with market value, in collaboration with the Finance Manager.
- Support in all administrative functions related to the finance department.
- Assist the Grants and Contracts Manager to complete and update files for all grant activities.
- Guide the grantees in completing required forms and reports for the grants.
- Process grants payments in keeping with USAID and MSI systems.
- Assist the Grants and Contracts Manager to maintain the grants tracker and database.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Part qualifications in accountancy from a professional institute or university such as CIMA, ACCA, CMA, or CA, required.
- Minimum three years of experience in finance and grants functions in an international development organization is required.
- Experience with USAID would be advantageous.
- Understanding of and commitment to gender and diversity considerations.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software, including Excel, required.
- Fluency in English and one national language, such as Sinhala or Tamil, required. Proficiency in a second national language, such as Sinhala or Tamil, desired.
