Summary:
Tetra Tech's Pasadena, CA office is currently seeking an experienced Environmental Field Technician. This role is primarily field based requiring 75% - 100% of travel, with typical tasks including but not limited to; field work planning and preparation, sampling, data collection and compilation, analysis, and more. The successful candidate will work closely with Project scientists and engineers on NPDES permit-related tasks on a variety of environmental projects.
Your Role:
- Field investigation, sampling, and data collection. Occasionally requires night and weekend shifts.
- Prepare technical reports summarizing field investigations.
- Data analysis and interpretation of data.
- Management and maintenance of field equipment.
- Adhere to health and safety protocols to ensure personal safety and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet project needs and address challenges.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- BS degree in an environmental related field.
- 1 – 3 years of environmental field technician experience.
- Current OSHA HAZWOPER certification preferred.
- Proficiency with MS programs including Word and Excel.
- Attention to detail, excellent technical abilities, and verbal/written communication skills required.
- Ability to travel and perform field work a majority of the time (approx. 75% – 100% of travel required).
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to operate ISCO sampling equipment.
- A Pre-employment drug screen in compliance with state regulations is required.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
Target salary range: $25.00 / hour to $40.00 / hour. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
