Tetra Tech Rooney, a Tetra Tech business unit supporting the energy industry, focusing primarily on oil and gas midstream consulting engineering, is currently seeking an Entry Level Electrical Engineer in our Englewood, CO office. We will provide a training program that will allows our entry level engineers the ability to quickly become active members of our design team.

Your Role:
This position provides electrical, instrumentation, and controls engineering design support for pipeline, pump/compressor station, and terminal/tank projects nationwide. You will participate in a multi-disciplinary project team. A successful candidate will bring design engineering and technical expertise to a team of established consultants with a proven track record of 40+ years in the Oil & Gas Industry. Work will be performed under the supervision of a lead Electrical Engineer.
- Arc Flash Study and software modeling.
- Assist in design and design drawing production, including:
- P&IDs.
- One Lines.
- Panel Schedules.
- Loop Diagrams.
- Cable & Conduit Schedules.
- PLC Schematics.
- Communication Equipment Schematics.
- Area Classification Drawings.
- Construction Site Plans.
- Grounding Drawings.
- Cable Tray Layout.
- Building Layout Drawings.
- Lighting Plans.
- Produce electrical bid packages.
- Perform load calculations.
- Cable sizing and routing.
- Specification/Procurement of equipment, instruments, materials.
- Communicate with project team, clients, and vendors.
- Support QA/QC for deliverables to clients.
- Site visits.
- Programming documentation, including:
- Cause and effect matrices.
- Control Narratives.
- Operating Philosophies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent required.
- 0 - 5 years of previous experience.
- Must be able to communicate with peers, contractors, and clients clearly and efficiently.
- Troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Must be a self-starter capable of handling solo projects as well as working with a group, eager to learn and expand your skillset, and be detail oriented.
- Passed FE Exam preferred.
- AutoCAD or Revit familiarity/experience preferred.
- Exposure to motors, motor controllers, drives, and programming/controls a plus.
- Knowledge of NEC codes preferred.
- A Pre-employment drug screening in compliance with state regulations is required.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
Target salary range: $75,000 to $82,000. Please note that Tetra Tech considers various factors in determining pay, including but not limited to: education, relevant and demonstrated work experience in the role, skills, geographic location, qualifications, certifications, and other competencies relevant to the needs of the business.
