The Opportunity:

LDIS LLC, A Tetra Tech Company, provides integrated engineering and design solutions for the Energy, Petrochem, Renewables, Water Treatment and Life Sciences markets. Our team meets these changing needs by being a trusted partner to each of our clients. In addition to conventional facility solutions and designs, our projects include Hydrogen Electrolysis, Ammonia Production Facilities, Renewable Natural Gas Processing, Emissions Reduction Studies, Carbon Capture and Sequestration, Wastewater, Pharmaceuticals, and much more.

Your Role:

Electrical Designers play a crucial role in our business, ensuring that systems and equipment are designed, installed and maintained to meet safety standards and operation requirements. They work on projects ranging from power plants to manufacturing facilities, focusing on electrical systems, instrumentation, and control systems. LDIS, is currently looking to add an Electrical Designer III to their team. The Electrical Designer III requires a blend of technical knowledge, creativity and attention to detail.

Job Responsibilities:

·        Demonstrated capability in successfully completing & leading projects and requires minimal supervision.

·        Ability to generate one-line diagrams, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and physical layout drawings (lighting, grounding, electrical area classification plans) with minimal supervisory instruction.

·        Work with Engineers and Designers to prepare project deliverables with minimal supervision.

·        Competent with P&IDs, electrical & instrumentation drawings from a set of redlines using company/client drafting guidelines.

·        Populate various document lists as directed by Designers

·        AutoCAD tasks - 3D Modeling, Electrical One Lines, Lighting and Power Plan Drawings, and PLC and Junction Box Details and Wiring Diagrams

·        Tracks details of work to discuss with supervisor

·        Develops and improves technical knowledge and skills

·        Maintains professionalism in relationships with other office and team members

·        Constructively builds and maintains relationships with others on the project design team

·        Travel required when requested

·        Makes site visits to observe during construction and operation

  

Qualifications:

 

·        High school diploma and post-secondary training is preferred.

·        Community College or Trade School certificate, electrical drafting focus preferred

·        4-10 years' experience. Oil and Gas and other Process Control, Manufacturing or Fabrication Industries experience required.

·        AutoCAD & 3D Design experience required

·        CADWorx a plus

·        Proficient in MS Office Suite such as Word and Excel

·        Solid experience in design, drafting, and 3D modeling.

·        Proficient in current engineering design and drafting software packages.

·        Operational knowledge of spreadsheet and database programs.

·        Ability to work with supervisor to effectively complete routine tasks

·        Self-starter with the ability to work with more experienced electrical engineers to apply standard textbook electrical design and analysis approach

·        Ability to logically organize work

·        Ability to listen to others and ask clarifying questions at appropriate time

·        Willingness to accept suggestions and corrections on organization and planning issues

·        Seeks help to understand and productively work through conflict to keep tasks moving forward

·        Strong verbal and written communications skills that are well organized and persuasive

LDIS/Tetra Tech offers comprehensive benefit options that allow employees to design a plan based on individual needs and assists in planning for long-term financial security.  Available benefits include medical, dental and vision insurance, term life, disability, accidental death & dismemberment coverage, Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Health Spending Account (HSA), time off with pay, 401k retirement plan, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

Salary Range: $77,000 - $124,000 depending on level of experience, education and location.
