We are in search of a new team member to join our group of scientists who has experience in ecological assessments, microplastics, laboratory method development, and aquatic ecology. In this position you will apply your understanding of aquatic ecology, using ecological indicators in understanding trophic interactions of marine species, potential risks from microplastics, and other related studies for local, state, and federal agencies. You must have a successful track record interacting with clients and multidisciplinary project teams.

Your Role:

  • Develop and help guide technical reports and other deliverables for projects
  • Technical expertise on microplastic detection, isolation, and data analysis
  • Assist in developing presentations at conferences and meetings as needed to communicate technical material
  • Work as a team member with other technical experts in planning and conducting multidisciplinary projects

 

Qualifications:

  • Education to include an advanced degree (at least a master's degree, PhD preferred) in aquatic ecology or related scientific disciplines relevant to environmental contaminants
  • Strong laboratory skills including method development
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of statistics, study design, GIS, and other tools commonly used in water quality and biological monitoring and assessments
