We are seeking an experienced Construction Site Inspector to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring that construction projects meet all contractual requirements and quality standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for observing, documenting, and communicating construction progress, while working closely with the QA Manager and contractors to ensure compliance with project specifications.

 

Your Role:

·         Observe and document construction progress without impeding the contractor's workflow, ensuring that inspections are performed at appropriate stages of the project.

·         Collaborate with the QA Manager and contractor to resolve any deviations, defects, or deficiencies in construction work, maintaining project quality standards.

·         Notify the QA Manager immediately of any work that does not meet the contractual requirements or specifications.

·         Provide ongoing communication to both the QA Manager and the contractor regarding project status, including any observed deviations from specifications.

·         Accurately record all inspection and observation activities on a daily basis, ensuring detailed and thorough documentation for the project records.

·         Take on additional responsibilities related to contractor scheduling and tracking of materials.

·         Spend the majority of the day outside on the construction site, tracking progress and being physically present in the field.

·         Be able to work a 10-hour workday (M-F, 7 AM to 5 PM) and be available to work on weekends occasionally.

 

Qualifications:

·         Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in construction inspection or a related field.

·         Field observation experience with underground construction, earthmoving, earthwork, paving, erosion protection, and utilities.

·         Familiarity with basic construction standards and specifications is essential.

·         Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment and manage multiple tasks with competing priorities.

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint) is preferred, and experience with AutoCAD engineering software is an advantage.

·         Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical (if required).

·         Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
