Tetra Tech Infrastructure Northeast (INE) is seeking a Civil Engineer ready for an engaging and high-impact position in which the successful candidate will work closely with experienced engineers and will be exposed to a wide range of projects for a variety of private clients and public agencies. If you are an experienced engineer who enjoys problem-solving, mentoring, and positively impacting our communities – this role is for you!
More about your team
This professional role reports directly to our Land Development Project Manager. Our practice is focused on both public and private projects including mixed-use, commercial, industrial, and residential developments, renewable energy infrastructure, climate resilient infrastructure, and stormwater management infrastructure. You'll work closely with our New England groups, who have a long and successful history of delivering complex, innovative, and successful award-winning projects. Most importantly, you'll be joining a communities-focused, cohesive regional operating unit, supported by national and international resources.
How You'll Make an Impact
The primary goal of this role is to contribute to the long-term success of projects. Your responsibilities include:
- Preparing design plans and supporting calculations
- Conducting hydrologic and hydraulic analysis
- Supporting design analysis through quantitative and qualitative evaluation
- Performing engineering studies
- Writing technical reports
- Developing descriptive figures, charts, and tables
- Preparing permit applications and support materials
- Assist with project management activities
You will achieve your best if you have...
- a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or a related field
- 3-5 years of site/civil, stormwater, or other relevant engineering experience
- an EIT Certification, Professional Engineer (PE) license, or the ability to obtain within one year
- proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) are required
- familiarity with ArcGIS, HydroCAD, and/or Storm and Sanitary Analysis is a plus
- a desire to learn new design software programs
- the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and meet quality standards and deadlines
