Responsibilities:
This position will lead the strategy, business development, capture, and execution of projects in the environmental consulting field for our US Air Force client and potentially other DoD customers. The marketing focus will be on disciplines that include planning, engineering, environmental compliance, environmental restoration, and asset management. The ideal candidate will have established relationships with US Air Force and other DOD entities.
• Develop and implement growth strategies to increase client base focusing in the east / northeast US for a broad range of integrated services including planning, engineering, investigation, assessment, remediation, compliance, asset management and construction management services.
• Direct diverse teams of scientists, planners, and engineers in developing capture strategies, crafting proposal response and leading negotiations to secure new contracts with DOD clients.
• Develop new client accounts and work with existing Tetra Tech managers and business line leaders to expand existing client accounts, focusing in the east / northeast US.
• Meet with key clients and potential clients to share Tetra Tech's capabilities and foster stronger client relationships.
• Identify, develop and nurture strategic partnerships with other businesses for major government programs.
• Present annual targets and strategic opportunities to Operations Manager and senior leadership to help prioritize key pursuits for the current and future fiscal years.
• Prepare proposals, support projects, and perform technical work as necessary balancing sales and utilization.
• Work collaboratively with other experts in numerous locations across Tetra Tech's broad US geography.
• Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
• Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline, knowledge and awareness.
• Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
• Additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or a related technical field.
• 15+ years of experience in program/project management with the Air Force is required, including projects that could include environmental, engineering, compliance, operations, and management related areas.
• Willingness and ability to travel as needed, approximately 5-10%.
• Knowledge of Air Force or other DoD/Federal organizations is required.
• Prior experience working for a federal agency in a leadership role and/or in the consulting industry is desired. Civil servant service or active-duty military experience while engaged in project management related to operations or missions support services is highly desired.
• Professional registration and/or certification is preferred.
• Ability to obtain a DOD security clearance is desired.
This position requires the candidate to be a U.S. Citizen due to the projects they will be working on.

Language & Communication Skills:
• Must be fluent in English, writing and speaking.
• Must possess excellent writing capabilities and have experience generating reports suitable for submittal to clients.
• Is expected to make verbal presentations, including corporate qualification short-list interviews with clients and strategic plans to corporate stakeholders.
Other Skills:
Fluency with computer software including knowledge of primary Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS TEAMS and Outlook) is required.
