Tetra Tech International Development is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified candidates for a potential Chief of Party position on a USAID-funded program in Ukraine.

 

Position Description/Summary: The New Private Sector Activity: STRONG UA will serve as USAID/Ukraine's flagship trade and competitiveness project from 2024 to 2029.

 

The COP will be responsible for the overall strategic vision, leadership, technical, financial, and administrative direction of the Activity. The COP will ensure an integrated vision among the program's components and actors, focusing on achieving the results defined in the Contract. The Chief of Party will be the principal link between USAID, key government counterparts in participating countries, Tetra Tech, and other project stakeholders.

 

Responsibilities:

* Provide overall leadership, management, and technical direction for the project;

* Manage the project's implementation, including overall responsibility for personnel, efficient budgeting, and financial management;

* Develop strategic objectives and ensure project compliance with USAID regulations;

* Work closely with USAID to control the quality and timeliness of Activity deliverables and compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements;

* Proactively engage and collaborate with a diverse range of key stakeholders, including government agencies, non-governmental organizations, the private sector, local communities, and relevant partners;

* Serve as the principal liaison with USAID staff, institutions, and client partners to exchange information, develop professional relationships, and make verbal or written presentations, as requested.

Qualifications:

* Minimum master`s degree in development, business administration, economics, or a related field, along with 12 years of progressively responsible professional experience in implementing and managing private sector development or related programs. Alternatively, Bachelor`s degree with 15 years of relevant experience is also acceptable.

* Minimum 5 years of senior management experience in donor-funded programs and a strong track record of building and maintaining strong, multi-disciplinary teams.

* Prior experience working on USAID or other major donor-funded development programs within the Ukrainian context is strongly preferred.

* Professional fluency in English is required.
