We are hiring Disaster Task Force Leads to support our recovery programs in Buncombe County, North Carolina. In this role, you will lead a team to ensure data quality, streamline processes, and provide critical administrative and logistical support. Working onsite with the Program Manager, subject matter experts, and other team members, you'll help residents navigate recovery with efficiency and compassion.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership and Oversight

  • Manage a small team of field staff, including scheduling, task delegation, and performance management.
  • Conduct regular team check-ins and support field staff in meeting program objectives.

• Data Quality and Project Documentation

  • Perform Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) on collected field data, maintaining high standards of accuracy.
  • Identify and correct documentation errors, coordinating with the team for continuous improvement.

• Public Interaction and Data Collection

  • Engage directly with residents to collect and verify required information for disaster recovery programs.
  • Ensure accuracy in public data collection and handle sensitive information with discretion.

• Reporting and Metrics Management

  • Generate daily reports tracking project metrics, task completion, and overall progress.
  • Provide supervisors with regular updates on project status and any emerging issues.

 Education and Experience

o Bachelor's degree preferred.

o Minimum of 2 years of related work experience, with a background in data entry, finance, or data analysis considered an asset.

• Technical Skills

o Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, and Word) and adept with data management software.

o Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly learn new systems.

• Core Competencies

o Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience handling public-facing tasks.

o Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

o Effective problem-solving abilities and investigative mindset.

o Comfortable working under pressure and committed to meeting deadlines.

This position with Tetra Tech is temporary and on an "as needed" basis and will end. It is understood that your employment is to be on an "at will" basis.
