Tetra Tech, Inc. specializes in the recovery of communities after being significantly impacted by disasters or weather events. We are currently hiring Debris Monitors to help monitor debris removal. Employees in this position are the "on-site" monitor for the removal, and possibly, disposal of disaster-generated debris. This position is located in Louisville, KY.

This position is for immediate work, with no physical labor, and no experience required because training will be provided to you. Your Role: 

• Monitor and observe all loading activities of trucks, bobcats, front-end loaders, or other vehicles as instructed by the supervisor.  

• Confirm that the hauling contractors are loading only eligible storm-related debris, which is on public rights-of-way or property, and that they are not going on to private property to collect debris. 

• Make sure contractors pick up all eligible debris and clear branches and other debris off the roadways and private driveways before moving on. 

• Ensuring that debris cleanup complies with federal regulations. 

• Understand daily responsibilities set by the supervisor and project manager. 

• Brief Supervisor on the day's activities, debris collection progress, issues, or problems. 

Qualifications: 

• Have a valid driver's license
• Possess an insured reliable and dependable vehicle for following trucks. Must be available for all-day use
• Must meet driving record qualifications and pass a successful MVR check.
• Ability to work on weekends.
• Ability to work for long periods of time. Roughly 12 hours a day. 
• Ability to use a smartphone
• Provide valid I9 documentation identifications
• Good teamwork and cooperation skills
• Ability to stand and/or sit for long periods
• Providing verbal and written communication.
• Pay high attention to detail.
• PC, Microsoft Office Suite knowledge required. 
• Ability to learn project-specific computer systems as needed.
• Ability to multi-task, such as toggling between computer applications while on the phone.
• Ability to talk to large amounts of people for excessive periods of time.
• Individuals in this position must be able to work independently and within a team.
• Individuals in this position are expected to maintain a professional demeanor, interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively interact with individuals from various cultures and backgrounds. 

This position with Tetra Tech is temporary and on an "as needed" basis and will end. It is understood that your employment is to be on an "at will" basis.
