Overview
BlueWater Federal is looking for a Network Specialist to support DOS at Ft Novosel. The BlueWater Team enables DOS to successfully deliver Initial Military Training (IMT) and Professional Military Education (PME) training & education, which utilize DOS' Live Virtual Constructive Gaming (LVC-G) simulation capabilities and infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Provide support for the operations, maintenance, and configuration of One Semi Automated Forces (OneSAF) Digital communication systems (ASTI), Virtual Simulations Systems, such as 3D Viewer (MetaVR Stealth), UAS simulator MUSE, Rotary Wing Aircraft simulations and simulators, Gaming systems such as VBS, Computer Network Systems for Local Area Networks, NVIG, Wide Area Networks, After Action Review (AAR), Webpage development, SharePoint, A Command Post (CP) systems such as AMPS, XPLAN, PFPS, CPOF, MC13, FBCB2, VTC, and Audiovisual Systems utilized in training.
- Provide on-site and infrequent off-site technical support of Collective Training events and exercises, as required
- Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, storage systems, and network devices.
- Oversee the implementation and management of virtualization technologies such as VMWare.
- Obtain non-binding quotes from vendors for upgrades and replacement systems and provide these quotes to the government upon request.
- Operate, administer, maintain, install patches, and update the DOS network in a configuration that enables DOS to obtain and renew its accreditation and ATO.
- Maintain the DOS network IAW Army Regulation 25-2 (AR25-2) Authority to Operate (ATO) requirements and ensure Risk Management Framework (RMF) accreditation is achieved and maintained
- Collaborate with the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) when necessary to ensure the T1 circuits are operational and available for long haul training and testing events to other military installations or training sites.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in computer network administration, or a combination of educational training in a related field and 2+ years of computer network administration experience highly preferred.
- Active Secret Clearance required.
- Security + CE or CAP certifications required.
- Proficient in IT infrastructure management with hands-on experience in Windows environments.
- Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies, particularly VMWare.
- Knowledge of and experience with physical and virtual servers, SQL, Client Operating Systems, SAN, and Linux highly desired.
- Windows Server Certification highly desired.
