Overview

BlueWater Federal is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to support FEMA. 

 

100% remote

 

FEMA requires additional digital communication services to implement user-friendly and accessible updates to FEMA.gov and the FEMA App that improve the customer experience (CX) and ensure clear communication about agency initiatives being rolled out in 2024.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with usability team to conduct a customer-focused study on emergency managers and other prospective students of FEMA's training programs, specifically their experience with getting training information, signing up for trainings, and post-training activities on FEMA's websites.
  • Leverage customer experience best practices for engaging real customers, current and prospective students and learners—and provide insights on customer types, pain points, and opportunities to improve web content, design and services to better meet needs.
  • Support the development of new web content and website features by ensuring decisions are informed by analytics.
  • Conduct website analytics reviews using Google Analytics and other available tools such as SiteImprove to understand how training information is being accessed across websites. Analytics reviews should support user experience/customer experience research and decision making.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, User Experience, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered
  • 4+ years of experience with data collection, analysis, and interpretation. Knowledge of SQL, data warehousing, and experience with ETL processes to ensure accurate and timely data availability
  • Proven experience in setting up and managing web analytics programs using tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or similar platforms for websites and mobile applications.
  • Ability to design and implement a comprehensive metrics and analytics strategy to track user behavior, engagement, and overall performance of FEMA.gov and its mobile app.
  • Experience in providing data-driven insights to support decision-making in areas such as graphic design, content creation, usability, and mobile app development. Ability to collaborate with teams to understand their data needs and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Proficiency in creating clear and compelling data visualizations and reports using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar. Ability to present complex data in a way that is understandable and useful for stakeholders.
  • Must have or be eligible for a High-risk Public Trust; US Citizenship required
