About the position Position / Specialty: OR CST Shift: Will work 3x12s, Days, 6:30a-7p Weekend REQ: one working weekend shift every 4 weeks Is on-call REQ? (Y/N): yes, up to 4 call shifts every 4 weeks. Holidays: Traveler will be required to work at least one of the holiday periods. Thanksgiving: Thursday, Nov. 28 – Sunday Dec.1 Christmas: Tuesday, Dec. 24 – Thursday, Dec. 26 New years: Tuesday, Dec. 31 – Wednesday Jan. 1 Will this traveler need to float within scope to meet facility needs/float between like units/sister facilities? yes Required/Preferred Years of experience REQ: 2 years First-timers accepted: Yes Certs REQ NBSTSA (MUSC does NOT accept NCCT), BLS Radiation Badge REQ: Yes, **radiation badge must be provided by agency** Trauma Level REQ: Level 1 trauma Miscellaneous Open to accommodating block schedule? (Y/N): Requires managers approval upon request. Dependent on unit's needs Local Radius: 60 miles Locals Accepted: Yes, will be considered one case-by-case basis at 10% less than the posted bill rate. RTO Restrictions for Client Offers: All RTO must be included at time of submission. Approval will be based on facility needs Guaranteed Hours: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks. Called off hours can be broken down to add up to 1 shift Hospital Highlights The Main Operating Room is within a level-one, academic trauma center. There are 21- OR suites which cover all surgical specialties, to include; Trauma, Transplant, Ortho, Neuro, ENT, GU-GYN, and Robotics. Please know that you may be expected to staff the full variety of cases that the Main OR supports. The nursing teams consists of 75% Registered Nurses and 25% Certified Surgical Technologist. RN's are trained to both scrub and circulate surgical procedures. The Main OR is a busy and dynamic nurse driven, Magnet designated department, that provides cutting-edge technology to the citizens of SC. Type of Facility: Level I Trauma Center, Teaching Facility, Magnet Hospital Total Staffed Beds: 820 Scrub Color: Provided Charting: EPIC Parking Cost: Parking management office (located 91presidents street) to obtain parking permit. $20 registration fee for a hang tag which will allow use of the garage. No additional fees. Hang tag will not cover parking in any other locations. If parking outside of the 91 Street Parking Garage, additional fees may be incurred fees. **Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams. If this is a problem, please ensure travelers do not confirm a new or ext assignment during the season. Hurricane season runs from June through November each year. The peak months for hurricane activity are August and September.**
