Infusion RN, looking for ONS Card holders Hospital: Centennial Medical Center Location: Sarah Cannon Transplant & Cellular Therapy Outpatient Clinic Address: 2410 Patterson Street, 5 th floor Unit Name: Infusion Clinic Building: Sarah Cannon Cost Center: 71611 General Information Unit Specifics: · Transplant and Cellular Therapy Outpatient clinic with hematology, pre-transplant, post-transplant and clinical trial patients managed through both a provider-based clinic and infusion clinic. Currently there are four MDs and 6 NPs that rotate through clinic and the inpatient BMT unit, resulting in 2-4 providers in clinic daily. Staff composed of two front desk coordinators, one Intake Referral Coordinator, Medical Assistants, RNs, Triage RN, Apheresis RN, and other support staff including: Heme RN Coordinators, Pre-Transplant RN Coordinators, Post-Transplant/Long Term Follow Up RN Coordinators, Finance, Social Work, Data Coordinators, Pharamcists, and a Manager. · Patient Ratios: · Unit staffing description- Medical Assistants, Triage RN, staff RNs · Type of equipment- iMobile, Mobilab, Agiliti beds, Alaris IV pumps, NovaStat glucometer, Vein Finder · Documentation system: Meditech · Scheduling requirements: FT employees work 4 10-hour shifts, rotating weekends. A typical shift is 0 · Floating policy: n/a · Patient Experience requirements: Oncology experience required, BMT preferred Hospital Specifics- · Certifications: BLS Hiring profile Requested Skill Set: · Positive, team centered approach to work environment · Time management; timely responsiveness to patient and unit needs · Adaptive communication skills/phone etiquette (including voice calls, text messaging) · Proactive vs. reactive assessment · Self-motivated, compassionate care · Strong interdisciplinary coordination of care · Fast-paced and attention to detail Must have : Flexible schedule, strong initiative, quick learner Advanced skills needed: central line dressing changes & lab draws, port acces and de-access, peripheral lab draws and IV placement Procedures performed on unit: Peripheral lab sticks, port access, central line blood draws, central line dressing changes, blood cultures, neutropenic fever work up, blood & platelet transfusions, electrolyte replacements, cellular therapy infusions (standard of care/FDA approved and clinical trials), vaccine administration, therapeutic phlebotomy, order/charge entry Certifications Required: BLS, ONS/Chemo (preferred) Dress Code : (Required uniform) · Navy, black, pink or gray scrubs. Approved outwear only.
