null START DATE: 11/25 Department: Infusion Services Radius Rule: 100 miles - # beds/Chairs: 12 chairs and 4 rooms - Average # of patients/day: 45 average per day - Nurse: Patient Ratios: 6-9:1 - Required Certifications: BLS, ONS/ONCC required. OCN-preferred. - Common diagnosis/Types of patients: Variety of cancer patients. - Experience: Oncology Nursing- either floor or Infusion Center experience. Must be able to access a port. Must be able to draw labs off of central lines. - Are RNs required to titrate drips: Chemo only. - Common infusions: FOLFOX (Fluorouracil, Leucovorin, Oxaliplatin (continuous pump)), Taxol, Carboplatin, HP (Herceptin, Perjecta), RCHOP (Rituxan, Cytoxan, Vincristine, Adriamycin), Immunotherapies (keytruda, opdivo, imfinzi) - Job duties: Access ports for treatment, obtain labs as needed, admin of ordered infusions, monitoring & assessing. patient pre, induration and post infusion. - Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift: Charge nurse-takes patients, and there is also a Nurse Navigator. - Are there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit: Medical Assistants 1 that does vitals of all patients. - EMR: EPIC - Shifts & Scheduling: 8-5 M-F, occasional Saturdays. - Weekend Requirement: Occasional Saturday. - Holiday Requirement: No - Is there a call or standby requirement: No - Floating Requirements: No - Scrub Color: Navy Blue. - How many shifts of unit/department-specific orientation: One NEO, one clinical ed/EPIC-Beacon, one day floor.
