Tact Staff is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Wilmington, North Carolina.

RTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR.
REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP:
Minimum Years of Experience: 2
Traveler Experience: REQUIRED
Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: Yes
Skills: Must have ICU experience
Certs: ACLS, BCLS, PALS.
PREFERRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP: Charge Nurse Experience, Conscious Sedation, FHM, ICP, Telemetry, Vents, ICU background exp prior to PACU and Pediatric Experience.

Ratios: 1:2
36 hours only Unit will accept contracts from 13 weeks+ up to March 15, 2025 (hard stop) to get the unit through the holidays!!
Shift: 12HR NIGHTS
RTO: 7 days MAX;
Call Requirement: once every four weeks
Float Requirement: Float to areas of overflow patients (typically over to surgical short stay)
Weekend Requirement: Varies
** Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed

General and Bariatric
Plastics and ENT
Opthamoogy
Children - T&A, Ears, Hernias, Cleft Lip/Palate
Phase II - when that unit is full
SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS:
Phase 1 Recovery Unit that provides observation and care of the patients who have undergone surgical procedures requiring anesthesia. We receive patients directly from the OR, EP Lab, Endo, IR, MRI and patients that are ICU who need to be recovered before being admitted to the units.
PACU is a varied and challenging practice environment where recovery may take 30 to 90 minutes, depending on when patient reaches the criteria for discharge to Phase ll, home, post op tower or ICU.
Nights and w/ends we recover as well as discharge Phase II patients. Also, have overnight patients, that are tower and/or ICU.
SPECIAL EQUIPMENT: Cardiac Monitor - Blood pressure, heart rate, respirations, O2 saturation, arterial lines, ICP monitoring, dopplers for vascular checks, fetal heart monitor, EKOS, SCD pumps, wound vacs
UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication): Pyxis, EPIC, Perfect Serve
SCHEDULING TYPE: Schedule Committee
ORIENTATION: New hires receive a comprehensive, individualized orientation tailored to their experience and skill level.
SCRUBS: Navy

New hires receive a comprehensive, individualized orientation tailored to their experience and skill level. They spend time in the STNCU for 2 to 3 weeks depending on the skills they need to develop. Orientation ranges from 12+ weeks, rotate day/night/weekend shifts to become familiar with how these shifts operate.
We are open 24/7 - staff based on the need of the OR.
