Summit Medical Staffing Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Rapid City, South Dakota.

Beds: 39 MICU, SICU, CICU, TICU mixed unit Minimal Experience: 2 years of ICU experience EXCLUDING travel experience is most preferred If they have 1.5 years of ICU experience EXCLUDING travel and have significant RN experience outside of ICU, please have CRT send to management team for approval Will you accept a first-time traveler? No. Minimum one prior travel assignment Travelers must live 100 miles away from any Monument Health facility Permanent staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler Patient Types: Complex ICU patients ranging from surgical, medical, cardiac (preferred), neuro and trauma Diagnoses include but are not limited to: ARDS, MI, CVA/TIA, COVID, s/p cardiac cath, post-surgical, multiple system trauma heavy trauma population Cardiac experience is preferred (not required): CABG/TAVR 24 to 48 hrs post op experience is preferred but not required for travelers Will not take fresh open hearts unless they are experienced, and the facility felt comfortable with this given to permanent staff Patient Ratios: RN: 1:1, 1:2, 1:3 (rare) acuity dependent Required Certifications: BLS ACLS NIHSS TNCC (REQUIRED) please decline travelers that would not be willing to obtain this certification prior to arrival
