Stony Brook University School of Medicine of the State University of New York invites applications for a full-time GI Hospitalist faculty position in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology.

POSITION DETAILS:
- Full-time inpatient GI hospitalist at Stony Brook University Hospital which is a 603-bed hospital and the only tertiary care center in Suffolk County, Long Island.
- 24 inpatient GI consult weeks (Monday-Friday only) per year.
- Minimal weekend and night coverage.
- Inpatient team includes gastroenterology fellows and advanced practice providers.
- No outpatient responsibilities.
- Ideal for work-life integration.
EXCEPTIONAL GI TEAM: Our GI Division at Stony Brook prides itself on its highly trained faculty of 12 GI specialists, 13 outstanding fellows, and a dedicated support team of skilled nurses, endo techs and advanced practice providers.
STATE-OF-THE-ART FACILITIES: The medical center includes a large hospital-based endoscopy unit with dedicated time for inpatient procedures. Additionally, an ambulatory care pavilion located conveniently on campus.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
MD (or foreign equivalent). Board Certified in Internal Medicine, BC/BE in Gastroenterology. Experience in clinical care and teaching. Skilled in a variety of endoscopic procedures.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in the gastroenterological care of patients admitted to the hospital.
