Description
Under the guidance of senior traders the trading assistant provides administrative support to the desk, compiles and reviews trade and market data, and helps to enhance trading processes. This role also involves monitoring market conditions, analyzing economic data, and once licensed, executing trades in various fixed income products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support trading team on day-to-day operations in a timely and efficient manner
- Monitor market activity in various fixed income products and provide concise feedback and analysis to senior traders
- Develop, maintain and enhance databases and reports
- Assist in enhancing trading workflows and functionality
- Ad-hoc projects as directed

- Strong math and analytical skills
- Team player with excellent verbal and written communication
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines
- Ability to demonstrate a proactive approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving issues
- Fast learner and self-starter with ability to work independently in a high-energy, entrepreneurial environment
- Comfort with new and changing technology
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Coding experience with Python or other programing tools preferred
- Demonstrated interest in global capital markets, specifically fixed income products
Education & Experience
Education and Experience
- Minimum Required: Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Math, Computer Science, Economics or Business-related field
- Minimum Required: 0-2 years relevant work experience preferred
Licenses & Credentials
- Minimum Required: SIE, Series 7 and Series 63 within 6 months of hire
