Description
The New Accounts Operations Associate II-International will review, process, and monitor new and existing international customer accounts. This role includes using critical thinking skills, reviewing documents and data, supporting branch offices to onboard and maintain foreign accounts, and knowledge of general operational and industry questions. This position will require collaboration among team members, branch office personnel, and other areas at the firm, including compliance, legal, and tax reporting, to provide exceptional customer service.
What We're Looking For
- Works within established procedures for onboarding international clients, including individuals, corporations, those with complex and layered structures, and institutional investors.
- Works with management in identifying potential problems or issues that fall outside of standard procedures and ability to analyze effectively to come to a resolution.
- Processes and updates information on existing international accounts, including data points such as address, phone number, or authorized individuals to ensure compliance.
- Collaborates with other areas such as AML, Tax Reporting, and legal to ensure documentation and data received align with firm policies and procedures.
- Provides support and guidance to branch offices and recruits regarding legal opinions for international jurisdictions and documentation required based on each account type and country.
- Reviews and monitors daily reports as related to new and existing international accounts.
- Addresses branch inquiries promptly, demonstrating a commitment to excellent client service.
What You'll Bring
- Knowledge of international financial regulations and AML/KYC standards, as well as complex corporate structures registered in international jurisdictions
- Previous experience in financial services with a background in international account operations, due diligence, and/or compliance
- Knowledge of rules such as Books and Records, 2111, and FinCEN Beneficial Owner.
- Higher level analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with international clients.
- Spanish fluency with the ability to speak and read English and Spanish regarding review of documents.
- Other Latin American languages are a plus.
Education & Experience
- Minimum Required: High School Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Minimum Required: 2+ years of experience in onboarding or operations, specifically foreign accounts. #LI-A
Systems & Technology
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
BETA experience is a plus but not required. #LI-AS1
