Description
The Operational Risk Management (ORM) Sr analyst will support the Operational Risk Manager in executing the Operational Risk Management program. This second-line defense position contributes to the firm's overall operational risk management by overseeing first-line defense activities through objective risk identification, assessment, monitoring, and reporting of the firm's risk profile. The purpose of this position is to provide leadership, consultation, and support for risk management techniques, practices, and procedures that protect the firm from loss and exposure.
What We're Looking For
• Perform Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) oversight activities and report results to senior leadership and appropriate firm committees.
• Supported developing and maintaining RCSA policies, procedures, standards, and user guides to ensure consistency in firm execution and compliance with the RCSA program.
• Support development and maintenance of ORM taxonomies and methodologies to ensure accurate assessment of risks and control environment.
• Develop and manage strong relationships with senior leaders, including executive management and related risk/control groups across the firm.
• Provide guidance, advice, and/or training to improve business units understanding of documenting and escalating risk through the risk assessment process.
• Collaborate with lines of business to identify current and emerging risks associated with business activities and operations and provide guidance in developing and implementing risk-mitigating strategies.
• Support the execution of firm-wide operational risk management programs, including Key Risk Indicators, Operational Loss Events, and Scenario Analysis.
• Stay abreast of industry and regulatory changes and trends to determine potential impact on business services and processes.
• Represent ORM on various project teams and committees.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Education & Experience
• Minimum Required: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Management Information Systems or related field.
• Minimum Required: 5+ years of risk management/compliance experience and/or financial services industry experience.
• Knowledge and understanding of executing the Risk and Control Self-Assessment program (Inherent/Residual risk, Control Design, and Issue Management).
Systems & Technology
• Proficient in Microsoft 365: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio.
• Preferred: Experience working with a GRC (Governance, Risk, Compliance) software platform.
