Job Summary
The Mortgage Information System Developer, with assistance from the team, will participate in all phases of the mortgage LOS development process including design, integration and maintenance while observing proper behaviors, patterns and standards. The Mortgage Information System Developer will master Stifel Bank & Trust's best practices and ensure they are used in all development projects and procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist the Development team in various phases of development, including design, implementation, integration, revision control, release and the maintenance of multiple products and systems
- Remain abreast of LOS updates/changes; effectively communicate updates/changes to staff as needed
- Ability to use logic and reasoning when troubleshooting software issues.
- Assist in the development of procedures that can be utilized within continuous integration practices
- Ensuring Stifel's coding and development standards are being followed
- Document clearly and effectively within code and participate in documentation outside of code
- Coordinate with other team members when tackling harder developmental efforts
Qualifications
- Develop solutions to problems as well as manage multiple issues at the same time
- Strong awareness of the impact of actions on the product or feature and acts in line with it
- Ability to resolve problems, basic troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
- Collaboration with a team using knowledge of appropriate development environments
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Familiar with ICE Mortgage Technology's Encompass System
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience required.
- 1+ years' of mortgage software experience, previous temporary experience with Encompass strongly preferred.
Systems & Technology
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Experience with C# and VB preferred
- Experience with Python, Javascript and VBA for Excel preferred
- Experience with ICE Mortgage Technology's Encompass LOS preferred
