Description
The Mailroom Supervisor will supervise and coordinate the activities of clerical and administrative support workers assigned to the mailroom. Maintain current knowledge and use of machines and operational processes.
What We're Looking For
• Coordinate processing of incoming and outgoing mail in an efficient and timely manner.
• Meet with various vendors regularly to keep current with mailing technologies / equipment and reports findings to Manager.
• Maintain office supplies for home office employees.
• Review and updates department goals and procedures with Manager.
• Coordinate scheduling/training of employees to ensure a smooth running department to include vacation/timesheet approval, employee evaluations and any appropriate on-the-job training or cross-training required.
• Coordinate monthly Customer Confirm mailings.
• Frequent amounts of standing, walking and lifting up to 25 pounds.
What You'll Bring
• Ability to work with and problem solve with machines.
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
• Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
• Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
• Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
• Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
• Knowledge of U.S. Postal Service regulations.
Education & Experience
• Minimum Required: High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum Required: 1 year in a mailroom environment
