Description

The IT Problem Manager is responsible for Stifel's Problem Management practice. They will set direction for the practice and evangelize it across the organization. They will work closely with IT teams and stakeholders to identify, analyze, and resolve problems, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. They will also aid in implementing preventive measures and develop strategies to improve IT systems and processes, ultimately enhancing overall IT service quality and reliability.



What We're Looking For

  • Coordinate and lead effective Post-Mortem meetings with internal teams and vendors.
  • Collaborate with Incident Management teams to ensure proper handling and documentation of events.
  • Responsible for effective management of high-priority incidents.
  • Review incident records to identify problem patterns.
  • Develop and maintain Problem Management documentation and training.
  • Represent the Problem Management practice in audits, tests, and other activities requiring representation.
  • Ensure clear and professional communication of findings and actions.
  • KPI Metric development and regular reporting.
  • Stakeholder communication and coordination.
  • Participate in vendor service review meetings.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • Minimum Required: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum Required 5+ years of experience in IT Operations, Support, or Management.
  • Experience leading and managing teams is preferred.
  • Financial Industry experience is preferred.
  • Experience with IT infrastructure and services, Incident and Problem Management practices, and managing tickets and queues.
  • Data analysis and report development experience.
  • Business Continuity or Disaster Recovery experience.


Systems & Technology

  • ITIL, AWS, or other technical, cybersecurity, or business certifications.
