Description
The HELOC Lending Specialist will take applications for, evaluate and/or recommend approval of the HELOC product while promoting service, quality, efficiency and compliance.
What We're Looking For
- Take applications, process and close home equity line of credit products.
- Contact customers by mail, telephone, or in person concerning acceptance or rejection of applications.
- Provide fee quotes and order services with multiple vendors
- Disburse funds on HELOCs
- Ensure proper insurance coverage and mortgagee clause for homeowner's insurance.
- Conduct quality checks the file for completeness and signed documents.
- From application to servicing, ensure top level customer service
What You'll Bring
- Understand and comply with mortgage industry regulations, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, the Community Reinvestment Act, Truth-in-Lending laws, etc.
- Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
Education & Experience
- Minimum Required: High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- Minimum Required: 2-5 year of banking experience
Licenses & Credentials
- Minimum Required: None
Systems & Technology
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Experience in ICE Mortgage Technology's Encompass is preferred
