Description
Under minimal direction from the Head of Investment Grade Research, the Senior Research Analyst supports and enhances the research and marketing activities of the Investment Grade Research group. The individual researches and evaluates fundamental investment data and information, and develops analysis reports, financial projections, and valuations on assigned industries through a fundamental and relative value analysis framework. The Senior Research Analyst is expected to develop full coverage of the assigned sector and be a thought leader in the space as well as have a network of established relationships with external clients and internal sales and trading staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Gathers and analyzes data from various information sources and contacts to ensure thorough and accurate investment thesis
- Performs financial analysis, modeling and forecasting for assigned sector
- Draws thoughtful and compelling conclusions based on fundamental and relative value analysis
- Effectively communicates research analytics to the firm's salesforce and client base to provide reliable and useful information to make investment decisions
- Collaborates with sales and trading to support their job responsibilities
$80,000 to $100,000 base salary

- Solid accounting, financial analysis and modeling skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to work collegially within a team environment
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business related field preferred
- Progress towards professional designations preferred
- Licensing: successful completion of SIE, 7 and 63 licenses.
- 5-7 years related experience required
Systems and Technology
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Bloomberg experience preferred
