Overview

The Buildings & General Services (BGS) team is seeking a VTBuys Business Systems Administrator to manage Vermont's e-procurement platform.

 

In this role, the Administrator will oversee system integrations, resolve user issues, analyze performance metrics, and provide guidance on system enhancements. Daily responsibilities will involve collaborating with agencies and vendors, configuring system functionalities, and leading training efforts. The Administrator will also handle testing for system upgrades, troubleshoot vendor and customer concerns, and maintain data integrity.

Environmental Factors

Duties are performed in an office setting. High level of mental stress due to the magnitude of the project and overall responsibility.

Minimum Qualifications

Six (6) or more years of experience with purchasing and procurement programs or software INCLUDING two (2) or more years of experience supervising, managing, or leading an administrative team or office.  

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in relevant field.

Strong understanding of business processes.

Extensive experience with Bulletin 3.5.

Experience leading a new business process launch.

Comprehensive knowledge of the following: VTBuys/Ivalua system, State Finance system procurement and asset management modules, business administration, and laws, rules, & regulations relating to State purchasing.

Ability to manage, analyze and interpret large quantities of data within a complex system. 

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex issues to key stakeholders. 

Ability to recognize and recommend procedural and systemwide improvements. 

Critical problem solving and critical thinking skills.
