Overview

The Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is seeking an Online Services Technician for the E-Services Unit. This position will be responsible for administering multiple online programs and transactions, system troubleshooting, as well as developing and implementing program requirements. The candidate must possess excellent customer services skills, computer skills, and the ability to adapt to changes.

In accordance with Title 23, Section 102(d), an applicant must agree to be finger-printed and pass a background investigation to be eligible for this position. The background investigation may include criminal, financial and traffic records checks. Hiring managers will notify applicants who are in the final stage of the interview process of the finger-printing and background check requirement, to which an applicant must agree to be deemed eligible for this position. Applicants will have the right to withdraw their applications before finger-printing and/or a background investigation is conducted. 

Environmental Factors

Duties are performed predominately in an office setting. Private means of travel should be available for occasional travel when appropriate. lncumbents must be adaptable and able to work within tight time limits and under considerable stress. Some evening and weekend duty may be necessary.

Minimum Qualifications

High School or equivalent AND four (4) or more years of experience in a customer service environment that included: use of computer programs, clerical and data entry work, applying and explaining policies/procedures or rules/regulations, and using math to complete financial transactions.
OR
Two (2) years or more of experience processing license and registration transactions in the Vermont Department of Motor Vehicles.
