Overview
The Department of Labor is currently seeking an Employer Services Specialist I - Limited Service. This position supports the employer community setting up unemployment insurance accounts, processing wage reports, processing payments, preparing refunds, calculating annual rates, providing outstanding customer service, and other important duties. The successful candidate will possess strong customer service skills, effective time management, and attention to detail. Who May ApplyThis position, Employer Services Specialist I - Limited Service (Job Requisition #49191), is open to all State employees and external applicants. It is a Limited Service position, which is non-tenured and authorized for a specific period of time. Limited Service positions are established for specially funded projects or programs.

Incumbents must be able to work with high volumes and under stressful federal performance expectations for quality and timeliness of all unemployment tax functions. Incumbents may encounter employers or their representatives who are uncooperative or angry during interactions involving their cost of unemployment tax, and/or misclassification penalty assessments. Workload volume will be extremely high at times.
Minimum QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent AND one (1) year or more of experience in accounting, auditing, or tax processing related duties.
