Are you ready to take on a dynamic role that combines coordination, project management, and meaningful collaboration? We're looking for a dedicated professional to support administrative and technological initiatives for the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).
As a Project Coordinator, you'll play a key role in planning and managing projects, ensuring smooth communication, and keeping everything on track. From gathering requirements to maintaining documentation, you'll help drive success from start to finish.
This position will:
- Work closely with experts to assess tasks, needs, and resources for projects.
- Oversee procurement, manage schedules, and identify risks.
- Support legislative processes by collecting data, conducting research, and preparing critical documents.
- Manage department forms and manuals, including updates prompted by legislative changes.
- Contribute to social media activity and website content management.
- Organize events and foster a culture of continuous improvement across the department.
- Serve as a liaison with third-party vendors and service providers.
This role is office-based with the flexibility to telework.

In accordance with Title 23, Section 102(d), an applicant must agree to be finger-printed and pass a background investigation to be eligible for this position. The background investigation may include criminal, financial and traffic records checks. Hiring managers will notify applicants who are in the final stage of the interview process of the finger-printing and background check requirement, to which an applicant must agree to be deemed eligible for this position. Applicants will have the right to withdraw their applications before finger-printing and/or a background investigation is conducted.
Work is primarily conducted in an office environment. Duties may not always adhere to a standard daily or weekly schedule. Some travel may be necessary for which a valid motor vehicle driver's license is required.
Minimum QualificationsThree (3) or more years of experience in project management, or an administrative role supporting business or project development, INCLUDING budgeting or financial responsibilities.
Preferred QualificationsCollege coursework, certification, or training related to business or project management.
Experience as a supervisor, manager, or team lead.
Experience in the public sector.
