Overview
The Vermont Psychiatric Care Hospital is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager for an administrative, analytical, and evaluative position within the state-run facility. This position will oversee three separate regulatory chapters including Life Safety, Environment of care, and Emergency Management. Incumbent will be responsible for ensuring compliance, executing periodic inspection, and processing work order requests. The Facilities Manager will adhere to accreditation standards and related federal and state program requirements. Candidates should have strong attention to detail, be able to understand complex regulations and statutes, and have considerable administrative and organizational knowledge.

Environmental FactorsWork in an office-based setting with frequent tours of hospital units and maintenance areas. Contact with hospitalized individuals is expected in the performance of duties.
Minimum QualificationsFour (4) years or more of experience in facility management involving regulatory compliance management.
Preferred QualificationsCertified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) certification.
Bachelor's degree.
Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (FEMA HSEEP) Training.
Certification of US Environmental Protection Agency RCRA and Vermont training for the handling and disposal of HAZMAT and Pharmaceutical Waste
Certification of US Department of Transportation (DOT) training for transporting hazardous waste
Membership in National Fire Protection Association (NFPA)
Membership of American Hospital Association (ASHE)
ICS-100 and ICS-200 for emergency planning and mitigation
OSHA 10 Training
Certification of US Environmental Protection Agency RCRA and Vermont training for the handling and disposal of HAZMAT and Pharmaceutical Waste required within three months of employment.
