Overview

The Green Mountain Care Board (GMCB) is seeking a Director of Prescription Drug Pricing. Act 134 of 2024 directs the GMCB, in consultation with others, to explore and create a framework and methodology for implementing a program to regulate prescription drug costs in Vermont. This position provides leadership encompassing a wide range of data- and analytics-related regulatory, legal, policy, security, financial, managerial, and administrative functions and conducts high level strategic planning work. The Director will be supported by a contractor and health policy analyst to research, analyze and provide options for consideration by the Vermont Legislature and the GMCB regulating the cost of prescription drugs, and provide potential impacts of regulation to Vermont's healthcare system.

 

The Board supports a telework/flexible work environment. This position is classified as a Program Director by the Department of Human Resources.

Environmental Factors

Work is performed in a standard office setting. Some travel may be required for which private means of transportation should be available. Work outside of regular work schedule may be anticipated.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science AND six (6) or more years of experience in programming, database administration or systems analysis, supporting computer networks, or providing support to staff in the operation, maintenance, and installation of computer systems, INCLUDING four (4) or more years supervising information technology functions.

OR

Bachelor's degree in business management AND six (6) or more years of experience a project manager, IT manager, or as a customer service team leader, INCLUDING four (4) or more years supervising.

OR

Associate's degree in computer science, business management, or related college-level coursework that includes 15 computer science credits AND eight (8) years of experience as defined above.

OR

Ten (10) years of experience as defined above.
