Overview

This is a seasonal Digital Printing Technician position that is required to perform daily setup, printing, finishing, and packaging for bills, calendars, and journals for the Legislature, both House and Senate. Files are received electronically and processed throughout the night for delivery to the Statehouse at 7:45 am.

The position will work 4am to 12:30pm, up to 40 hours per week. There is some flexibility regarding number of hours to be worked, and days of the week worked (for example, could potentially work Monday - Thursday.)

Who May Apply

This position, Digital Printing Technician I (Job Requisition #51510), is open to all State employees and external applicants. This is a temporary position. Temporary work is typically for variable hours and is not expected to be full-time. The State does not guarantee 40 hours of work per week.
If you would like more information about this position, please contact Sarah Grenier at sarah.grenier@vermont.gov.
Resumes will not be accepted via e-mail. You must apply online to be considered.

Environmental Factors

Work is performed in an area with high noise levels and under the pressure of deadlines and shifting priorities. Lifting of heavy boxes of paper and other work related objects is necessary. Manual dexterity is needed to operate equipment. The inevitable exposure to inks and other print materials may cause soiling of clothing.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
