Overview

CDD is now hiring a temporary Administrative Services Coordinator I to support our Child Care Licensing Unit.  This position will provide administrative support to CDD's team of twelve (12) licensors as they conduct annual site visits for 1,100 child care programs. 

 

The primarily responsibilities for this position are to:
•    pre-populate annual site visit reports for child care licensors
•    compile and share licensing site visit data with the child care licensing supervisory team

 

Requirements for this position include:
•    Familiarity with data and information systems, ideally including the Bright Futures Information System (BFIS) or something similar (training on BFIS will be provided to a successful candidate)
•    Experience with data entry
•    Expertise in Microsoft Excel
•    Effective interpersonal communications skills
•    Availability to work on site at the Waterbury State Office Complex (WSOC) at least one day, weekly
•    Performs related duties as required

 

This position will be funded on a part-time basis (approximately 20 hours/week) through September 30, 2025.  The position will be supervised by the Licensing Unit's Administrative Coordinator. The Licensing Unit is a close-knit team that values strong collaboration and communication; we're looking forward to receiving your application!

Who May Apply

This position, Administrative Services Coordinator I - Temporary (Job Requisition #51601), is open to all State employees and external applicants. This is a temporary position. Temporary work is typically for variable hours, and is not expected to be full-time. The State does not guarantee 40 hours of work per week.

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent AND two (2) years or more of experience providing administrative-level support to a business or organization.

OR

One year of full-time college coursework in accounting, business or public administration, office administration or closely related field AND one (1) year or more of experience providing administrative-level support to a business or organization.

OR

Two years of full-time college coursework OR and Associate's degree in accounting, business or public administration, office administration or closely related field.

OR

One (1) year or more of experience as an Administrative Services Technician IV with the State of Vermont.

NOTE: Only administrative work experience is qualifying. Administrative support includes those functions which keep the organization running or provide the resources for others to provide the programmatic work (e.g., accounting, budget management, grant administration, finance, human resources, payroll, purchasing, or space management).

Special Requirements

For some positions experience working with the VISION system (VISION is the State of Vermont PeopleSoft financial management system) may be required.
