- A hospital in Washington is looking for an experienced Xray Tech for a travel contract.
- Job Requirements
- The right candidate will have 2 full years of experience
- Hold an active ARRT (R) and WA License
- Surgical Experience Necessary
- Must be able to perform all General X-ray, Fluoroscopy and OR exams
- Schedule Information
- Shift times just depends - can be a mix of 10Hr and 12Hr shifts for both days & nights
- Assigned shifts and schedule
- Schedule posted at least 2 weeks in advance
- Weekend Requirement depends - there are shifts that are every weekend as well as every other weekend - will be dependent on needs
- Holiday Requirement - Yes- If scheduled day lands on the holiday
- Some call may be required on occasion with a 45-minute response time

- Department: Radiology/X-ray
- How many rooms does this department have? 4 general X-ray, 2 fluoroscopy
- Will they have to float/cover any other areas? Float between General X-ray, Fluoroscopy, OR, ED, and Portables
- Common types of imaging/studies performed & Job Duties: All General X-ray, Fluoroscopy, OR, and ED
- Average # of /studies per day: 80-100 in a 24 hour period
- EMR &/or PACS (Picture Archive & Communication System: software & hardware) do they use: EMR = EPIC, PACS = SECTRA, Windows computer software
- Department Specific Equipment (GE, Phillips, Siemens): 3 GE general X-ray rooms, 1 Shimadzu X-ray room, GE Fluoroscopy room, GE portables, OEC C-Arms
- Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech: Both– Imaging supervisor and Shift/Modality lead techs
- Do they use RRA's (Registered Radiology Assistants)? No
- Radiologist in-house? Radiologist on site 24/7
- Do they have to start IV's? (if applicable to the department): No---But any IV starting skills are useful
- Department specific orientation: Typically 1st three days are department orientation
- Days, Fri-Sun 0700-1930

- Must HAVE own lead markers
- Traveler needs License in hand at time of submittal
- Radiation Badge Required Prior to starting assignment
- Scrub Color/Dress Code: Any color scrubs - as long as look professional
- Hospital scrubs only provided for staff working in the OR
- Personal Scrubs Okay as long as tasteful
