- Job Requirements
- The right candidate will have 2 full years of experience, hold an active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS and WA License/Compact License.
- Schedule Information
- Shifts are 12 hours, 7-7
- Weekend Requirement is Every other
- Holidays work is required
- Floating is mandatory
- Unit Specific Information
- Unit: PCU 6th Floor
- # beds: 32
- Ratios: 1:3-4; occasional CNA ratio 1:8-12
- EMR: EPIC
- Charge Nurse available, free charge
- Nurse Aides: Yes
- Tele Monitors: Yes
- Do nurses read strips? Yes, and have remote tele monitor techs
- Common diagnosis / Types of patients include: CVA/TIA, STEMI/NSTEMI, chest pain rule out MI, ACS, CHF, Renal failure - acute and chronic, Respiratory Failure/distress, DKA/HHNK, PE/DVT, afib, pre/post cardiac angiogram, stents, pre/post pacemaker, pre/post cardiac ablation, pre-CABG, CIWA
- Additional Notes: RRT RN 24/7; Phlebotomy 24/7
- Experience with CAPD (Peritoneal Dialysis) is a plus, but not required.
- Additional Details
- Region III: Primary to St. Michael Medical Center, but if needed, travelers will be required to float throughout Region Three: St Anthony Hospital – Gig Harbor, WA; St. Michael Medical Center – Silverdale, WA.
- This is a very busy unit with very high patient turnover. We have a really great cohesive team and we welcome our travelers as an integral part of it!
- All travelers should not be absent for more than three days without a valid reason, or they may be subject to termination.
